Comprehensive foreign media news on June 25, 2022, a London trade body said on Friday that due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the United Kingdom is considering scrapping anti-dumping duties on some Ukrainian steel products.
Tariffs on hot-rolled flat and coil steel may be lifted for up to nine months (HRFC), mainly for the mechanical and electrical engineering, construction and automotive industries, the Trade Remedy Authority said in a statement.
The agency also said it had initiated two separate anti-dumping measures to review HRFC Russia, Ukraine, Brazil and Iran’s anti-dumping measures, as well as countervailing measures on stainless steel bars imported from India.
The UK is assessing the measures inherited from the EU and is examining “whether they are still suitable for UK needs”, the statement said.
